How Much Does a Wedding Officiant Cost in Georgia? (2026 Pricing Guide)

Augusta Officiant | Written for couples planning their wedding in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

You've said yes. You've picked the venue. Now you're staring at a budget spreadsheet trying to figure out what everything costs. One of the questions we hear most often at Augusta Officiant is a simple one: how much does a wedding officiant cost in Georgia?

We're going to give you a straight answer. We'll cover what affects pricing, what's worth paying more for, and what to watch out for when you're comparing your options.

What Augusta Officiant Actually Charges

We keep our pricing simple and accessible because we believe every couple deserves a ceremony that feels real, not rushed.

Our Elopement Ceremony package is $175. It includes a preset script with standard vows and a ring exchange. It's designed for intimate celebrations of 20 guests or fewer, and it does not include a rehearsal. Perfect for couples who want to make it official without all the production.

Our Custom Ceremony package is $350. This is the full experience. We attend your rehearsal, meet with you beforehand to learn your story, and write a ceremony that's specific to you as a couple. This package is what we recommend for venue weddings, because the ceremony is longer and more personalized. It reflects who you actually are.

Both packages are broken into payments through our contracting software. We don't believe cost should be the reason a couple has to compromise on their ceremony.

We also offer a license signing service for $60. No ceremony, no vows. Just a quick, professional signature on your marriage license. You can swing by with as little as five minutes' notice.

We do charge a driving fee for venues outside of the CSRA.

What You're Paying For

Price matters. But understanding what goes into it matters more. Here's what separates a $175 elopement from a $60 courthouse signing, and what makes a custom ceremony worth every dollar.

•        Script customization: A personalized ceremony script takes real time to write. We learn your story, capture your voice, and craft something that doesn't sound like it came off a template. Because it didn't.

•        Rehearsal attendance: A good rehearsal prevents a chaotic ceremony. We're there, we're prepared, and we make sure your whole wedding party knows what they're doing.

•        Travel: Augusta Officiant serves the entire state of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. We'll come to you.

•        Insurance and licensing: We carry $2 million in business liability insurance and hold proper licensing in Georgia, South Carolina, and each individual county we serve. A lot of officiants can't say that. Some venues require proof of insurance before allowing a vendor on the property. We've already got it.

•        Backup coverage: We're a team. If something happens to your officiant the day of your wedding, another member of our team steps in. You are never left without someone at the altar.

Why the Courthouses Recommend Us

Augusta Officiant is a preferred vendor at both Richmond County Courthouse and Columbia County Courthouse. That's not a title we gave ourselves. The courthouses recommend us to couples because they trust us. Our licensing is airtight, our paperwork is always correct, and we've never given them a reason to question it.

When you're choosing an officiant, this matters. A marriage license signed by someone who isn't properly credentialed in your county can create real legal problems later. We make sure that never happens.

A Team That's Done This Over 1,000 Times

Our team has officiated over 1,000 weddings combined. We've done ceremonies in English, Spanish, and French. We've worked at courthouses, gardens, ballrooms, backyards, barns, and beaches. We've had ceremonies with 400 guests and ceremonies with four.

That experience shows up in the ceremony itself. We know how to read a room. We know when to slow down and let a moment breathe, and when to keep things moving. That skill doesn't come from a weekend ordination course. It comes from showing up, over and over, for real couples on real days.

Is It Worth Paying More?

The officiant is the only vendor who speaks for the entire length of your ceremony. Your photographer stays quiet. Your florist went home before you walked down the aisle. Your officiant is the voice of your wedding day, from the moment your guests settle in to the moment you're pronounced married.

A great ceremony doesn't happen by accident. It takes someone who has done it hundreds of times, knows what they're doing, and genuinely cares about getting it right for you.

That's what we bring to every wedding we do.
